919: Production Order Date Fields

SMARTer Manager has two new date fields in the Production Orders module. These date fields can be used to calculate Lean Metrics, Takt Time, NET, etc. The user can call on these fields using SMARTer Report Writer, View Builder and other 3rd party ODBC compliant software.

920: Purchase Order Item - Other/Misc drop down

Adding a Miscellaneous Purchase Order Item or a Purchase Order Item Part Number Type of Other the user had to input all necessary information.

This functionality has been modified to include a drop down menu selection of previously entered items. Selecting one of the previously entered items automatically fills in the form fields with the previously entered data.  This will eliminate repetitive data entry and save man hours.

742: Income Statement To Only Show Accounts With a Balance

Prior to version 8.5.6 the General Ledger Trial Balance, Income Statement and Balance Sheet reports listed all accounts regardless of their balance.

This release contains an option to not print accounts that have a balance of zero.  The user can select the option to Not Show Accounts with a zero balance before printing the report.

906: Customer Year field doesn't display

The Year field in Customers>Financials>Transaction Detail tab wouldn't populate.

This issue had been resolved and the Year is now displayed next to the Total Sales field.

910: Use of Inactive GL Accounts

In previous versions of SMARTer Manager, In Active General Ledger accounts would display in the drop down lists and allow the user to select the account.

If a General Ledger account is marked as inactive it will no longer be available in the drop down lists. This issue has been resolved in this release.

875: Restore Through Manager Sets DB Owner to SYSDBA

Using the Sweep/Validate and Backup/Restore with SMARTer Manager will allow the user to administer the database without using a 3rd part application.

To access the new utility log into SMARTer Manager. Go to Toolbox>Utilities>Validate and Sweep, Toolbox>Utilities>Backup, Toolbox>Utilities>Restore

862: Access Violations Occur When In Finance Charges

An Access Violation would occur if there weren't any Over Due Invoices for the selected date range when running the Finance Charges Report under Accounting>Accounts Receivable.

This issue has been resolved in this release.

659: View Builder - Joined tables duplicates SQL query

Creating views in previous versions of SMARTer Manager may have exhibited a "Could not find object." Error message after building a view that crossed multiple tables.

"alias TABLENAME conflicts with a table in the same statement"

This issue has been resolved with SMARTer Manager version 8.5.2.x

731: Stand Alone Install Doesn't Configure Correctly

Server Installation Only:
In some instances when installing SMARTer Manager on Server 2008 the BDE and ODBC wasn't correctly configured.

The user would receive an message stating that their was an "Unknown user name or password."

This release resolves the message by correctly configuring the BDE and ODBC to include the IP Address of the Local Host.

741: Customer Financial Information No Longer Shows "Year"

SMARTer Manager lost the display of the Year field on the Customer Financials tab.

This has been reinstated and fixed in version 8.5.6

596: BOM Import Takes Up A Seat On The License

Launching the BOM Import Utility caused a single client license to be used as a simultaneous user log in. The BOM Import Utility does not require the user of a single client license to be used for log in. This issue has been resolved in this release.

10: Payment Selection Checks Cleared From List Without Printing

Prior to version 8.5.6 clicking the "X" icon to "cancel" printing checks the check would be removed from the payment selection window.

This release of SMARTer Manager has remedied the issue and the check now remains in the payment selection queue if the check is not printed and the "X" icon is used to close the window.

13: Resource Utilization Calendar Report

Changes to SMARTer Manager's database and code caused the Resource Utilization Calendar to not display when launching it from the Reports Menu.

This issue has been resolved in version 8.5.2.6

721: Work Center Estimated Total Time Incorrect

Related to Case 712 and Case 717. The way that decimal time is handled in SMARTer Manager has been updated. See Case 717 for a detailed explanation.

717: Total Timecard Hours Incorrect

SMARTer Manager Decimail time table has been updated to the industry standard and all calculations from Decimal time to Standart time will use this chart.

The chart is Minutes in whole numbers and 100ths in decimal numbers. The corresonding decimal time is located directly next to its whole minute equivalent.

712: All Reports Containing Hour Conversions Need to be Updated

Prior changes to SMARTer Manager's "Decimal Hours to Actual Hours" conversion affected some reports that calculated time. This affect is for versions prior to 8.5.6.x of SMARTer Manager and only affects Crystal Reports.

An example of the corrected formula would be

921: Journals Tab wrong default view

The default view when opening General Ledger>Journals has been reverted back to the Unposted Transactions tab.

922: Resource Utilization Calendar only up to 2011

This procdure is ran the first time a user logs into the database, either DEMO or SHOP. It is only executed once and may take several minutes or upto an hour depending on your database size, network configuration and server configuration. Other users will not be able to log into SMARTer Manager while this procedure is running.

The Calendar reference table is updated upon initial log in to either Shop (SMART001) or Demo (DEMODATA) to the date range of 1/1/2012-12/31/2036.

975: Client Installation 64bit BDE

The installation of BDE on a 64bit client has changed. The BDE installation is now a separate installer that is launched during the SMARTer Manager Client install and runs within the Client install.

The BDE files used by SMARTer Manager for report purposes and security are now installed and utilized inside the C:\ProgramData\SMARTer directory.

SMARTLOGO, SMARTPART and SMARTTEXT

This also affects the directory settings for the above mentioned files in the ODBC settings. If the settings are incorrect the user will receive a Permission Denied error when trying to print reports.

If the user receives the above error the Data Source settings of the ODBC must be updated in the ODBC Administrator. Both the Database area of the form and the Driver area of the form (click the Options button to view) will need to be set to C:\ProgramData\SMARTer

976: Log In - Updating Calendar References - Script

SMARTer Manager updates the Calendar table to the year 2036 and adds functionality to the NETHOURS and NETWORKDAYS for Lean calculations and running certain reports.

866: Exporting Views Clears Custom Expressions

If the user created a custom expression using the Expression Builder it would be removed during export.

This issue has been resolved with the redesign of the View Builder and its new additions.

884: Cost Analysis Charges Transactions Won't Show Millions

SMARTer Manager's Cost Analysis>Added Charges will now display $9,999,999.99

994: Schedule Status - Frozen/Locked ignores WIP

If the user changed the status of a shipment to Freeze Current Schedule, using the Process Plan>Option>Schedule Status it could still be Bumped by Higher Priority shipments or WIP shipments, etc.

Now if the shipment status of Freeze Current Schedule is selected the shipment will not be Bumped or moved. The user will have to Unschedule or change the status of the shipment before it can be re-scheduled.

Selecting the status of Freeze Current Schedule applies to Scheduled shipments and will lock the current schedule to prevent it from being moved by a higher priority job.

719: Cost Summary Hours Incorrect

Prior changes to SMARTer Manager's "Decimal Hours to Actual Hours" conversion affected some reports that calculated time. This affect is for versions prior to 8.5.6.x of SMARTer Manager and only affects Crystal Reports.

669: Unable to Double Click to Drill Down in Vendor Financials

Prior changes to the Vendor module caused the Financials tab to loose its drill down capability.

This issue has been resolved in version 8.5.6. The user can now drill down to the A/P invoice and A/P credit related to the Vendor.

458: Schedule Options Window Help Icon Not Functioning

When using the Schedule button from within Process Plans the Help Button on the Schedule Options window wasn't opening the Help File.

This has been fixed.

481: View Builder View Graphs Window Right Click Options Not Functioning

This module has been redesigned and this case has been resolved. The menu options now function as expected.

492: BOM Listing Report Not Totaling Correctly

This report issue has been resolved and the calculations are now correct.

14: Resource Utilization Graph Error

If the Resource Utilization window was open in the Resource Table and the user attempted to run Auto Pilot an error would occur.

There is now a message stating that the Resources window must be closed before Auto Pilot can be ran.

376: Changing Work Center in Bill of Material Doesn't Update

SMARTer Manager Decimal time table has been updated to the industry standard and all calculations from Decimal time to Standart time will use this chart.

377: Production Order Shop Folder Note Window Missing Caption

The notepad caption has been updated to read Notes or Notepad depending on when the action is invoked.

527: Can not locate by tracking number in Invoices and Credits

This field has been removed from the Locate feature within the Invoices and Credits module.

The module it was visible in was incorrect. This field is visible and can be used for Locate witin the Production Orders module only.

901: Abra version  9.0 doesn't launch from SMARTer Manager

SMARTer Manager has been updated to continue functionality with Sage ABRA version 9.x while maintaining backward functionality.
